Fresh Juice Blends
There are so many options when it comes to fresh juices and smoothies– anything goes really. My husband makes them to ‘get the veg in’, so full they resemble and taste like baby food. I actually like them to taste good, so consider the combination more carefully. Here are a some we’ve tested & really liked:
Fresh & Fruity
Ingredients
- 1 fresh nectarine or peach
- 1 orange or satsuma- peeled & segmented
- 1 or 2 c. water (or coconut water)
- A few slices of ginger
- A clump or 2 of frozen spinach
- Optional lemon or lime juice or zest
- Optional dash of chia or flax seeds
If you are using a lot of frozen fruit or veg, add extra water and blast.
Preparation
- Clean fresh fruit & cut into pieces
- Blast the mix a few times or add ingredients in stages for better consistency (5-10 secs a blast, then stop and do again, add more…)
- Drink immediately!
Warm & Spicy
Ingredients
- 1 peeled banana
- 1 tsp. ginger powder/ a few slices of fresh ginger
- 1 tsp.+ Cinnamon
- 1 tblsp. almond/nut butter
- 1 ½ c. almond milk (or your fave)
Preparation
- Clean fresh fruit & cut into pieces
- Blast the mix a few times or add ingredients in stages for better consistency (5-10 secs a blast, then stop and do again, add more…)
- Warm this one up after blending to release flavours and really enjoy!

Sweet Green Lunch
Ingredients
- 1 cucumber
- ½ grapefruit, peeled
- ½ lemon
- Small green apple, cored
- Handful of lettuce, rocket or spinach
- Handful of coriander or mint
- 1 tsp. Chia seeds
- 1-2 c. water (or coconut water)
- Optional green powder or protein powder of your choice (1-2 tsp)
- Handful of ice
Preparation
- Clean fresh fruit & cut into pieces
- Blast the mix a few times or add ingredients in stages for better consistency (5-10 secs a blast, then stop and do again, add more…)
- Drink immediately!

Lime Lover - Mojito Mix
Ingredients
- Juice of 2-3 limes
- Small ripe avocado
- Handful of mint leaves
- A few spinach leaves
- 2 c. coconut water
- Pinch of vanilla powder
- Optional green powder
- Handful of ice
Preparation
Mix & drink immediately!

Mango Madness
Ingredients
- 1 fresh mango or a handful of frozen
- Handful of spinach leaves or a few frozen clumps
- A few frozen carrot slices = 1/3 carrot
- Handful of mint or basil leaves
- A few chunks of fresh or frozen pineapple
- 1-2 c. water
- Optional seeds, powders (1-2 tsp)
