Hatha Flow
The next step up, if you’ve taken Slow Flow for a while, and are ready for a little more challenge. This class includes lengthier and tougher flowing sequences, as well as longer posture holds (5-10 breaths), and expects students to be familiar with some of the basic postural language. This will feel more like a work out, but is still suitable for beginners.

Power Yoga
A powerful, energetic form of yoga where students fluidly move from one pose to the next while connecting their breathing to their movement. It incorporates strength, flexibility, balance, cardio and physical stamina. This class incorporates interval and cross training exercises to challenge both the aerobic and anaerobic systems of the body. As your body adapts, it is important to vary the types, intensity and duration of the exercises. Power Yoga incorporates regular sequences that become familiar to students, but also varies them to modify, intensify, or challenge the body by altering the pace or duration of poses, and their frequency.
This class should make you sweat! Bring a bottle of water.

Lunchtime Stretch
Just what it says– a mid-day class focusing mostly on stretching… opening the hips, and the back, correcting posture and leaving you ready for the rest of the day. We add in some balancing postures to clear the head. This class was designed with office workers in mind, therefore we won’t break a sweat, in case you are heading back to work!

Yin Yoga
A gentle, yet intense, combination of Hatha yoga and Chinese Daosit practices with emphasis on long-held, passive stresses of the deep connective tissue. By holding each pose for 2-5 minutes (a lifetime, it will seem), you will mobilize and strengthen joints, ligaments and deep fascial networks, and truly challenge the mind. It can be uncomfortable, but should never be painful- much of the benefit comes by staying when your mind urges you to leave.

Breathwork
Breathwork or Pranayama, is an exploration of breath control, and a form of mindfulness meditation itself. With little or no physical movement, we use a variety of techniques to alter and control the breath for various outcomes (cooling, warming, calming, clearing…) and ultimately learn to focus and appreciate the power of each breath. Many yogis believe that breathing is way more important than the physical asana practice – and that lengthening the breath, is what will ultimately lengthen the life.
